Happy Birthday to my brother, Nick Menza. 🎂🥁

Nick wasn’t just one of the greatest drummers in heavy metal history—he was one of my friends. His power, creativity, groove, and unmistakable feel behind the kit helped shape some of the most important music of our lives, and his influence continues to inspire drummers and metal fans around the world.

I’m especially grateful that Nick’s performances continue to live on through Serpent From Eden (Cleopatra Records), a project built from previously unreleased recordings featuring Nick alongside our longtime friend John “Gumby” Goodwin. It was an honor to reunite with Chris Poland and help bring this music to life as a tribute to Nick’s incredible talent and legacy.

One of the projects that means the most to me is serving as a producer on This Was My Life: Nick Menza’s Metal Memories with Megadeth and Beyond, a documentary that celebrates not only Nick’s remarkable career, but the incredible human being he was as a son, brother, father, friend, and musician. I hope everyone takes the time to watch it and experience the stories that made Nick so special. Screaming Butterfly Entertainment

Some of my favorite memories with Nick happened away from the stage—mountain biking together, hanging out, laughing, and simply enjoying life as friends. Of course, what we created together onstage will always be a huge part of my life, but it’s the friendship that I cherish the most.

Happy Birthday, Nick. I miss you, my friend. Thank you for the music, the memories, and the years we shared together.

Your legacy lives on every time those drums start playing.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Kevin Clement of @chillertheatreexpo

It was at Kevin’s event in 2021 that the idea to form Kings of Thrash first came to me-a moment that would go on to spark an incredible new chapter.

Kevin was a true icon of the horror convention industry, and his impact will not be forgotten. He will be deeply missed.

My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Chiller Theatre community. Rest in peace, Kevin. 🖤
